Concord, NH – New Hampshire sports fans wagered more than $7.7 million on a riveting game to cap off the NFL season that came down to the final minute before the Los Angeles Rams emerged victorious against the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. New Hampshire players preferred the Cincinnati Bengals, with about 70% of wagers on the game’s outcome placed on the Bengals. Total mobile wagering topped $6.6 million for the Big Game and players placed an additional $1.1 million in wagers at New Hampshire’s retail sportsbooks. Approximately 28% of DraftKings New Hampshire bettors wagering on the game had Massachusetts addresses.

“New England sports fans are the best in the country, and even though the Patriots did not make it to the Big Game, this did not deter New Hampshire players from getting in on the action,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “With players betting more than $7.7 million, the volume of wagering speaks for itself as sports betting continues to build momentum in New Hampshire. We look forward to continuing to grow this channel as we work to maximize revenue for our schools.”

Aside from betting on the game’s outcome and point spread, some of the most popular bets by New Hampshire players included betting Cooper Kupp or Ja’Marr Chase to have a 50+ yard touchdown reception, betting Matthew Stafford to be the game’s MVP and longshot parlay bets on Matthew Stafford or Joe Burrow to throw for more than 375 yards and three touchdowns in the game. Players also placed a number of novelty prop bets, such as betting on a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation or betting one team to score three unanswered times.

In addition to mobile sports betting, the New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings have opened three retail sportsbook locations. DraftKings Sportsbook at The Brook in Seabrook opened in August 2020 and DraftKings Sportsbook at Filotimo in Manchester opened in September 2020, with Filotimo opening a sister location in Dover in October 2021.

New Hampshire residents can download the DraftKings Sportsbook app to place wagers through DraftKings, the exclusive digital operator in New Hampshire. Sports fans can place bets on the DraftKings Sportsbook app via iOS and Android or online at Sportsbook.DraftKings.com.
